Our Standard of Conduct:
1. Open
Open eyes - alert, observant, awake, looking at what’s around the corner
Open heart - warmth, kindness, empathy, sympathy
Open mind - curiousity, humility, thinks before speaking
Open arms - welcoming, inviting
Open ears - good listener, "Seek first to understand, then be understood" (

in the Seven Habits)
2. Informed
Attends all meetings
Reads pertinent emails and materials
explores and attends professional development opportunities
3. Invested
Fully Involved on the path to being the best teacher you can be
Aware that you get out what you put in
Knows that service-learning experiences are an investment in you, the children, the community, etc.
Notices that when you invest in something, you are now connected with it
4. Influential
Know yourself and how you appear to others
Innovative
Intentional/purposeful
Team player/Collaborative
5. Integrity & Fidelity
Integrity
is having strong moral principles (like the ones listed above).
Fidelity
is staying consistent and true to those principles. (More

).
Examples of integrity & fidelity in Teaching Fellows:
You consistently show up to committee meetings on time (Open, informed, invested)
You contribute ideas, time, energy, etc. to all TF meetings (Invested)
When an unfamiliar Teaching Fellow sits close to you at a meeting, you proactively engage them in conversation (open, invested, influential)
You agree to help out and show up to appointed meetings and service opportunities (invested)
Examples of substandard Integrity & fidelity in Teaching Fellows:
You don't show up to committee meetings (inconsistent in your TF principles of investment)
You don't respond to messages or requests from committee members or the Campus Director (inconsistent to principles of investment)
You forget about Teaching Fellows meetings (inconsistent in the TF principle of being Informed)
You don't follow through on promises you made to other Teaching Fellows (inconsistent in the TF principle of being invested)
